1. Faux fur zip through skirt, Topshop £42

Dare to wear fur that comes in the form of a skirt? I do! Team this beauty with your fave leather jacket and cut out boots. Ok so you’re probably not gonna get away with this all year round, but for the colder seasons, faux fur is timeless.

2. Leopard print mini, River Island £25

It’s all about the mini, and leopard print never ever goes out of fashion. It’s got a cute leather trim waistband and exposed zip detail at the back. Stay cosy in the winter with a black cable knit jumper, tights and long boots.

3. Red leather mini skirt, Miss Selfridge £65

I’m in love with this racy number, leather and pleather skirts are everywhere at the minute. So versatile in the daytime with a printed tee and ankle boots, or at night with a silk cami and a barely there heel.

4. Raven check skirt, Hobbs at House of Fraser £99

Check off your check print wardrobe staple with this one. It’s flattering shape and good length makes it a good, on-trend workwear piece. If you’re going with the masculine look, team this with a shirt and your boyfriend coat and you’re good to go!

5. Leather cut out pencil skirt, Dickins and Jones at House of Fraser £140

I love this one, simply because it’s different and nothing like i’ve ever seen before. The type of skirt you see on someone walking down the street and you think, that HAS to be designer.

6. Khaki pencil pleated skirt, Zara £49

New Military is up and coming, and it’s gonna be a big thing for the spring! There was a lot of khaki and tailoring on the LFW catwalks, so this skirt will be a big hit for sure.

The NEXT edit: Shoe Special

During a casual online browse, you probably expect to see one or two pairs of to-die-for shoes, and if you’re lucky they’re in your price range too. Today I saw several amazing, on-trend shoes that were all on budget and they were all from NEXT. The high street giants have really upped their game this season in the footwear department. My absolute favourites were these luxe loafers, £60. For me, this is the most feminine and sophisticated way to pull off such a masculine shape. Personally, i’d be styling these with black ripped skinny jeans, a white shirt and a camel boyfriend coat.

Metallic shoes are massive this Autumn, especially those of the silver variety! There’s alot of them on the high street so they’re easily accessible if you’re after a catwalk copy. However, some shapes, shininess (if that’s even a word?) can make silver shoes look tacky. Especially if your Auntie Sharon has been wearing her silver stilettos since 1981. NEXT have got it right with this pair £55, so transitional from day to night, season to season.

These pointed mules, £55 are just sheer sophistication. Perfect for the office or with an LBD on a Saturday night. Add a little bit of luxury to your look with pony skin effect accessories such as these beauties. Mules are the shoe shape of the season, too.

Add a pop of pink to your outfit this season with these unique cut shoe boots, £38. You’ll wear these far more than you think, they will replace that trusty nude heel you wear with every black dress, every denim jean and every grey suit trouser. I love the cut out detail, and the fact that they’re whole on the inside so they’re not too dainty to wear in the daytime either. For £38, they’re a sure investment.

Style or Steal: DKNY v ASOS

It’s all about the big fur coat this season, and i’m glad because it’s already freezing in Manchester! I’ve had my eye on the DKNY collection for a while, their monochrome pieces are so dreamy. I knew it wouldn’t be long before a high street genius graced us with a more purse friendly alternative, which is twice as nice.

Double Denim: To do or not to do?

It’s the ongoing debate, and unless it’s in your face and declared by the fashion gods as a trend, nobody goes near it. Unless of course, your name is Ellie Goulding and you wear it anyway. Unsurprisingly, Ellie pulls it off looking cool, quirky and absolutely effortless.

Ellie rocked the denim ensemble this weekend on the way to her show in Dublin, and showed no signs of a fashion faux pas. Perfectly teamed with some trusty Docs and a pair of Ray Bans and she looked good to go. If you reckon you’re brave enough to go double, here’s how to get the look….

Primark AW/13

Image

Some say it’s their best collection yet, and I definitely agree! Primark seem to sustain their reputation for selling the hottest seasonal trends at low prices. We have seen the Celine “it” coat in baby pink, which Primark have very well replicated for just £32. The cut out boots and fur jacket are also seasonal staples, £18 and £35 respectively. Tartan and checks are massive trends and they are just everywhere! Primark is perfect for picking up fashion pieces, especially if you’re not sure how long its going to be around, as it won’t break your bank. I also love the baroque shorts, perfect with a cropped chunky knit and chelsea boots.

This Week I’m Loving…

1) OMG. Agyness Deyn for Dr Martens… The range is AMAZING. This t-shirt is my fave, it’s just plain geeky, suggestive, sexy and trendy all at the same time. The collection is timeless and versatile, definitely worth a look. Get it here.

2) Barely there sandals… in flat mode. Because nobody, I mean nobody walks around in heels all day everyday. Even Kim Kardashian has come to realise this! These are a great buy from Next, £32.

3) Geometric Longline Bikini, New Look, Top £14.99, Bottoms £7.99. I’m all for the longline bikini top this summer, especially if you have that little roll of fat just under the bust like moi.

4) What is it about the serious lack of nice beach bags this summer? This one was like finding a needle in quite literally, a haystack of woven generic beach bags. I love the clutch too. Both River Island, Tote £25, Clutch £28.
